Summertime Blues

I've got the summertime blues. . .or more like the lack of summertime blues! It's the June bank holiday weekend and still no sunshine.  I got these really comfy blue paisley printed cotton pants from Penney's to wear on the airplane for my holidays and they were just so comfortable I haven't taken them off since.  I'm also currently obsessed with my new Mansur Gavriel bucket bag and this vest from River Island.  Hope you all have a great weekend and fingers crossed for some sunshine xo

Ibiza Style Diary: Part 2

I've been back from holidays now for a few weeks, the tan is starting to fade and I'm beginning to get used to the fact that the log awaited Irish summer is just not going to kick in!  So it's about time to revisit these pictures of sunnier climes and dream of a tropical paradise!  My Ibiza style diary part 2 focuses on my night time outfits.  Since I have kids and went to Ibiza out of season, before the clubbing scene kicks off in late May we mainly relaxed at night, had a nice meal and a few drinks and were fairly sensible.  I really loved the old town - the cobble stone streets and white washed buildings transported me back to another time.  Early May also hosts the Midevil Festival and there was a carnival atmosphere with street performers and artesian craft booths.

Now for my outfits!   I mainly wore relaxed light fitting pants and jumpsuits, nothing too dressed up or fancy.  I loved this Jumpsuit from Next, it was less than 30 euros.  I packed a few dressier options as well, but didn't even get a chance to wear them.  For shoes, I wore flats or wedges because we walked everywhere- what better way to see a new place than walking! Next time I won't even pack the heels!  Happy travels xo

Ibiza Style Diary: Part 1

Hello everyone!  I've just returned from the most relaxing and beautiful holiday in Ibiza and I have loads of style pics to share with you!  This first post I'm dedicating to my daytime, casual beach outfits, and it was all about a laid back boho vibe.  Boho is huge this season and I feel that this vibe totally gels with Ibiza. My holiday wardrobe was all about crochet, fringing and suede.  I just really wanted comfortable outfits for chilling at the beach and flat sandals for lots of walking.  I also love a good beach cover up because, I'm not gonna lie, after having two kids and stuffing my face all winter, my body was far from beach ready! Most of my holiday wardrobe pieces are super affordable (I shopped mainly at Penney's, Missguided, and other high street shops - see details below).

Now, I must say a little bit about the trip itself.  I have absolutely fallen in love with this island!  Ibiza is so much more than a party destination and it offers loads for families and those who want a relaxing holiday.  I stayed in Play D'en Bossa which is the longest beach on the island and home to some of the most glamorous beach clubs (Nassau, Coco Beach and Ushuaia, to name a few).  Although we had kids, we still got to chill at these clubs and listen to great music during the day while the kids played on the beach.  My absolute favourite restaurant/ beach club was El Chiringuito because the setting and food was amazing plus it has a kids club too!  I have tons of good recommendations if anyone is interested just drop me a mail. . . xo

Black White & Blue

I like experimenting with new styles and shapes and this tunic with really high cut side slits is the perfect example.  I bought it recently on my Misguided shopping spree and paired it with these high waisted Cameo pants and electric blue Penney's accessories for a dinner date night out.  It's fun to reveal an unexpected flash of skin on the side.  It's sexy, but still conservative too.  The only thing I would say is that the slits are cut quite high and it is at risk of showing your undergarments!! So wear a lacy bra or cameo that you don't mind showing off! xo

Biker Chic

I am off work this weekend and taking advantage of the beautiful weather!  Yesterday my family and I went off to explore the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal.  I have a bucket list of all the beautiful beaches, parks and quaint towns to see up here before I move to Dublin in July.  We ate at the Red Door Country House in Buncranna, and that's where I snapped these pictures.  As you can see, the scenery is gorgeous!

I wore this faux leather biker vest from Misguided and I am in love with it!  It was a steal at around 50 euros and is such good quality.  Vests or sleeveless jackets are a great way to transition into spring when there is still a chill in the air.  I particularly like the little details on this biker vest such as the zips, pockets and belt at the bottom.  xo

Off the Shoulder

I am obsessed with all things off the shoulder at the moment!  Forget boobs, butts and legs, the shoulder is the new erogenous zone.  It's where it's at :) Last weeks good weather is gone and it seems to be back to the old typical Irish sweater weather this April.  I recently went on a major shopping spree on Missguided and got this great off the shoulder sweater.  It's so cozy and comes in four different colours and it's a total steal at under 30 euros.  I paired it with this fluffy River Island bag and my favourite ripped white jeans from Penney's for a casual day in the park with the kids.  xo

Spring in My Step

What beautiful weather we been having lately in Ireland! It feels like spring is finally here. . . time to shed off those winter layers, break out the sunnies and who knows, you may even get a tan!?  I had a lovely Easter weekend soaking up the sunshine on the beaches of Donegal with friends and family.  I wore this brightly coloured outfit to reflect the cheerful and sunny mood that good weather brings.  This unexpected colour combination of orange, purple and green works really well together.  Also, with my new shorter hair cut, I've decided that I'm going to bring back the statement earring starting off with these large gold hoops (watch this space!) I hope you all enjoyed the sun as much as I did.  Long may it last! xo
