Silver Sparkle

This past weekend I was back in Cork, my adoptive home town, for my sis-in-law's baby shower.  Looking out at the beautiful River Lee, I truly felt that I left my heart in Cork. . .Dublin may be the Capitol, and have a lot to offer, but at the end of the day, home is where your friends and family are.

I wore this gorgeous silver sequin skirt that I got a few months back on sale from Lavish Alice.  It was all about the silver sparkle with this outfit as I also wore my new Prada loafers and this Mirina Collections necklace.  You can get 20% off on tons of amazing necklaces on the Mirina Collections website using my code sarahxoxo2.

Winter Weekend Vibes

It's finally February and the days are getting a little longer!  I can just feel spring on the horizon, but for now I'm staying warm on my weekend excursions.  Here are two outfits I wore recently that are perfect for staying warm and cozy and still stylish enough to go from a chilly walk to a pub or dinner later.  I am just living in sweater dresses (this one is a steal at $20 from www.romwe.com) and over the knee boots.  For my second look, I doubled up on coats layering a parka over a leather jacket.  Lastly, I don't go anywhere this winter without my cashmere beanie from Cos - it's so soft!  xo

Spotty Dotty

How's everyone's 2016 going so far?? The in-laws came up for the weekend, so myself and the other half got a chance to go out for a rare date night.  We were celebrating our 8 year anniversary and went to one of our favourite restaurants Kinara Kitchen in Ranelagh, Dublin.  I would highly recommend it, especially if you like Indian food, it is the best in Dublin!

So, I'm getting a bit tired of the January sales by now!  But i was out shopping this weekend and happened to pick up this gem of a dress at Mango for just 10 euros, down from 50!!  I do love a bit of leopard print, and the ruffle sleeves and hem are on trend for the spring.  I paired the dress with a YSL fringe bag and chain boots to give it a little rock chic edge.  xo

Black and Red

New year, new me?  Well, maybe not. . . I don't believe in New Year's resolutions, they seem to set one up for failure.  However, I do like the idea of starting afresh (especially after the indulgence the holiday season!) I recently met my good friend and fellow blogger Emer from Irish Fashaholic at 37 Dawson Street in Dublin.  I dressed casual for a few drinks and appetisers in my new Zara blazer from the sales and a scarf for a pop of colour. We brought our kiddies along, and my son Liam popped his head out as I was trying to take a photo, spoiling my "super cool" look :)  Hahaha! See if you can spot him. . . Happy new year everyone! xo

London Style Diary

Last week I had the pleasure of being back in one of my favourite cities in the world - London!  I used to visit regularly as it is only a short plane flight from Ireland, but since the birth of my kids I haven't been back.  I also stopped by Cambridge University for a few days for some higher learning     ( a Dementia Course for my job - it was fantastic, but I won't bore you with the details.)

London is so stylish and cosmopolitan.  There are so many amazing shops and restaurants and the Christmas markets this time of year are great as well!  I wore some casual, yet chic outfits and flat black Chelsea boots from Zara because I did a lot of walking!  I personally love sparkle, especially around Christmas, so I incorporated this gold jumper and silver pleated skirt into my holiday wardrobe.  Hope you all are having a great holiday season! xo

Sketch x Balmain x H&M

Fashion, food and all things chic came together perfectly this past Friday night when I had a weekend off from the kids and met my friends for dinner at Sketch in London.  I had been waiting for the perfect occasion to rock my Balmain x H&M purchases and this was it!  I would highly recommend a night out in Sketch if you happen to be in London.  Not only is the food amazing, but it's the decor and the ambiance that really make this experience special!  We dined in the Gallery, which was very reminiscent of Dynasty in the 80's with plush pink chairs and cool art work on the walls.  The bathrooms are particularly trippy - the toilets are in these egg pods (pictured below).  My dress was velvet which is perfect for the holidays and this necklace made me feel regal like an Egyptian queen. Did any of you manage to get your hands on the Balmain x H&M collection? xo
