Mom Jeans

Sooo. . . . I'm a mom and I wear jeans - usually skinny jeans, or cropped jeans, sometimes boyfriend jeans . . But what about "Mom Jeans"?  That term used to classify a high waisted, slightly baggy, faded denim that was favoured by moms in the 1980s, and wasn't particularly flattering.  Well, let me tell you that mom jeans are back!  I have been seeing them everywhere, but mostly on the likes of models and super bloggers in the world of Instagram.  I was tempted to try this new brand of mom jeans - and here are the results on a sunny day in the park.  I'm not sure I like them really??  What do you guys think?? xo

Black and White and Red All Over

Hello! I'm back! I know it's been ages since I have put up a post but sometimes life gets in the way of blogging. . . So, in the past few months there has been an absolute explosion of 1990's revival trends. Foremost among those is the good ole choker necklace!  I must say, there is something chic about the simple black velvet choker.  The sad thing is that I can remember rocking a similar look back in high school. . . But I for one am going to be embracing this return of all things cool during my teenage years!  Long live the '90's!  xo

Double Buckle

This was an outfit I wore for a weekend day out with the family - it's so comfy and practical while still being stylish - - not to mention cheap!!  Everything I'm wearing (except for the shoes and sunglasses) is from Penney's/ Primark.  These ankle grazing jeans are "so hot right now", to steal a quote from Zoolander :)  I'm also in love with this double buckle belt.  It's an affordable version of the B-Low The Belt brand loved by celebs.  Happy weekend everyone, it finally feels like spring! xo

Silver Sparkle

This past weekend I was back in Cork, my adoptive home town, for my sis-in-law's baby shower.  Looking out at the beautiful River Lee, I truly felt that I left my heart in Cork. . .Dublin may be the Capitol, and have a lot to offer, but at the end of the day, home is where your friends and family are.

I wore this gorgeous silver sequin skirt that I got a few months back on sale from Lavish Alice.  It was all about the silver sparkle with this outfit as I also wore my new Prada loafers and this Mirina Collections necklace.  You can get 20% off on tons of amazing necklaces on the Mirina Collections website using my code sarahxoxo2.

Winter Weekend Vibes

It's finally February and the days are getting a little longer!  I can just feel spring on the horizon, but for now I'm staying warm on my weekend excursions.  Here are two outfits I wore recently that are perfect for staying warm and cozy and still stylish enough to go from a chilly walk to a pub or dinner later.  I am just living in sweater dresses (this one is a steal at $20 from www.romwe.com) and over the knee boots.  For my second look, I doubled up on coats layering a parka over a leather jacket.  Lastly, I don't go anywhere this winter without my cashmere beanie from Cos - it's so soft!  xo

Spotty Dotty

How's everyone's 2016 going so far?? The in-laws came up for the weekend, so myself and the other half got a chance to go out for a rare date night.  We were celebrating our 8 year anniversary and went to one of our favourite restaurants Kinara Kitchen in Ranelagh, Dublin.  I would highly recommend it, especially if you like Indian food, it is the best in Dublin!

So, I'm getting a bit tired of the January sales by now!  But i was out shopping this weekend and happened to pick up this gem of a dress at Mango for just 10 euros, down from 50!!  I do love a bit of leopard print, and the ruffle sleeves and hem are on trend for the spring.  I paired the dress with a YSL fringe bag and chain boots to give it a little rock chic edge.  xo

Black and Red

New year, new me?  Well, maybe not. . . I don't believe in New Year's resolutions, they seem to set one up for failure.  However, I do like the idea of starting afresh (especially after the indulgence the holiday season!) I recently met my good friend and fellow blogger Emer from Irish Fashaholic at 37 Dawson Street in Dublin.  I dressed casual for a few drinks and appetisers in my new Zara blazer from the sales and a scarf for a pop of colour. We brought our kiddies along, and my son Liam popped his head out as I was trying to take a photo, spoiling my "super cool" look :)  Hahaha! See if you can spot him. . . Happy new year everyone! xo
